-
Flexibility and efficiency in fulfilling orders of varying complexity
Our production lines and process organization allow us to respond quickly to any customer request – from single prototype production to serial batches. We can easily adapt to changes in technical specifications, specifics of drawings or materials, ensuring timely and accurate execution of even the most non-standard projects.
-
High level of automation and accuracy
Modern equipment, Savelli automatic molding lines and 3- and 5-axis CNC centers guarantee the accuracy of the geometry of each part and minimize the human factor. Automation ensures consistent quality, repeatability of parameters in serial batches and efficient production of even the most complex products.
-
Ability to produce large and complex castings
Our production facilities allow us to work with castings weighing from 3 kg to 15 tons and up to 8 meters long. This allows us to take on complex, large-sized and customized projects for the energy, machine building, heavy industry, transportation and other sectors.
-
Focus on the requirements of European standards and individual specifications
We operate in accordance with the ISO 9001:2015 certificate, EN and DIN standards. Each project is tailored to the customer’s requirements: from the selection of materials and casting methods to the preparation of an individual process map that takes into account the operating conditions and the customer’s wishes.
-
Full cycle of quality control - from raw materials to shipment of finished products
The company has its own laboratory with modern equipment at all stages of production. Control includes: rapid chemical composition analysis, spectral and mechanical testing, metallography, 3D scanning, capillary and magnetic particle inspection. This ensures consistent quality of each batch and compliance with European and industry standards.

Steel and Cast Iron Casting According to Customer Drawings
The Western Foundry Group unites two plants—Promlit and Gorstal—and operates as a modern foundry for industrial customers from Ukraine and EU countries. We accept orders for steel and cast iron castings based on drawings, 3D models, samples, and technical specifications. The customer receives direct contact with the production facility, expert coordination of materials tailored to operating conditions, and clear manufacturing lead times without intermediaries.
What Can Be Submitted for Production
For an industrial enterprise, a clear interaction format is more important than a general presentation. Therefore, the foundries of the group operate according to a simple scheme: we accept documentation, calculate the cost, coordinate the material, mechanical machining, quality control, and shipment.
You can submit the following for production:
- Drawings and 3D models;
- Dismantled samples;
- Sketches or technical specifications;
- Serial nomenclature;
- Single parts for repair or assembly replacement.
Main Production Areas
Essentially, this is a metal foundry that covers a wide range of tasks for mechanical engineering, the power sector, the mining industry, infrastructure, and metallurgy. Our production handles both standard housing items and complex castings based on custom documentation.

How Tasks Are Distributed Between the Plants
Each foundry shop within the group handles its specific type of production tasks.
Promlit Plant:
- Serial and medium-batch items;
- Parts with repeatable geometry;
- Housing elements, flanges, covers, and valves;
- Orders where dimensional stability and high productivity are critical.
Gorstal Plant:
- Large-scale castings;
- Hand molding operations;
- Custom parts based on individual drawings;
- Single products and pilot batches.
The customer, however, works within a single project and through one coordination loop, while internally the group selects the optimal production site based on specific mass, geometry, and molding method.
Iron and Steel Foundry Production
A separate specialization is the iron foundry. The production utilizes grey, ductile (nodular), malleable, and special cast irons. Such materials are in high demand where dimensional stability, vibration damping, wear resistance, and a clear part cost are essential.
Equally in demand is the steel foundry. For such orders, carbon, alloyed, heat-resistant, and wear-resistant grades are utilized—for example, 25L, 35L, 110G13L, 35KhML, 20Kh5ML. The grade is selected not as a formality, but specifically for actual load, temperature, abrasive wear, or contact with aggressive working media.
What the Customer Receives
For industrial companies, the foundry industry is important not as an abstract sector, but as a practical tool for solving specific tasks. In practice, the customer receives:
- Cost estimation based on technical documentation;
- Coordination of the alloy and operating conditions;
- Manufacturing of single and serial items;
- Mechanical machining and heat treatment;
- Quality control and preparation for shipment.
This is precisely the approach that distinguishes a strong foundry sector today from simply “a plant with equipment.” For a procurement specialist or an engineer, general promises matter less than the ability to quickly submit initial data and receive a concrete response regarding lead times, materials, and production capabilities.
Why Work With Us
Industrial customers choose the Western Foundry Group for several key reasons:
- Two plants within a single unified production structure;
- Work based on drawings, samples, and technical specifications;
- Both serial and custom one-off casting capabilities;
- Deliveries across Ukraine and to EU countries;
- A unified scheme for project coordination.
Request a Calculation for Your Project
If you have a drawing, sample, or technical specification, send your initial data for calculation. We will coordinate the material, verify the manufacturability of the part, calculate the cost and manufacturing lead times, and subsequently propose the optimal facility to launch the order.
